I just spent a week away on my grandparents farm in the middle of the King country. A really nice break away, except for the frustrating fact that in the rush to pack absolutely everything, I forgot to take pens and paper… not even my tatty a4 spiral bound notepad.
I know a week isn’t that long right. But as soon as I found I hadn’t taken this, and that there was pretty much no paper in my grannies house, all I wanted to do was mock up some cartoon sketches, or jot down some notes for one of these posts – I’m the sort of person who needs to put things down on paper before they get to computer stage…. I feel like I need my paper lists to think properly.
I read an amazing hard-to-put-down kinda book I pinched off my mums Christmas book pile – It’s called The immortal life of Henrietta Lacks. Best non-fiction book I have picked up in ages! – More info about it can be found here: http://rebeccaskloot.com/the-immortal-life/
And I finally got round to organising a lot of my older pictures which had all been saved in random files and loaded them up in an easy to view Flickr account. They are here in the archives too, but I think this’ll make for faster viewing if you don’t actually wanna read the post bits that go with. They can all be found here : http://www.flickr.com/photos/vincenteknight/ well, the ones I’ve loaded anyways… more up over the next week. Have also made myself an account on we heart it : http://weheartit.com/mightymouselikescheese – I figure its better to have my work out there in multiple places to be seen than not at all, plus I really like the layout of this one!
Not so surprisingly then, the latest of my Narwhal cartoon series comes equipped w things to make you better… though please heed the WARNING : NARWHAL IS NOT A TRAINED HEALTH PROFESSIONAL
Have added this one up on my Felt page too, though this is one of the few I can actually post out until I get back to Melbourne. http://www.mightymouse.felt.co.nz
