So my friend who recently got married – well, in feb, its taken me a while to get round to post these up – was brave / crazy enough to trust me with painting on her wedding dress!

This was such a cool opportunity – so thanks so much Leah, because I don’t think I know of anyone else game enough to do this…. but does make for a truly one of a kind dress, and final result wasstunning on Leah on the day.

Below are some pics of how the dress progressed – I painted it in acrylic, built up in really thin, f last layers to give the blossoms a soft wash look, followed by a strong top layer in a dark brown red to match the brides hair colour.

Here is a set of small canvases I’ve done as commission to brighten up a neighbors daughters room  – They are mixed media with layered hand-painted vintage paper and cut outs of gouache painted on hot pressed watercolour card, finished w a super shiny and delicious poured candy-like resin coating.
Who wouldn’t want a set like this in their room! Do you?!?

Ok. So have finally got round to putting up my inspiration board of collected paper images – this makes me feel so much more creative already, and really happy… some of these images have been hoarded from places I’ve lived almost ten years ago – and some were found a lot more recently too.
